the equipment management allows users to define, group, and manage equipment and equipment classes used in production the module consists of two main pages equipment class → equipment equipment the equipment tab is used to create and manage individual equipment instances this helps to define the machines, tools or systems used in your manufacturing equipment attributes when creating or editing equipment, the following fields are available unique id > a mandatory, system wide unique identifier description > a human readable description of the equipment equipment type > defines the role of the equipment in the production structure production line production cell equipment equipment class > the equipment class this equipment belongs to barcode (optional) > used when barcode scanners are enabled, allows for easy integration with other systems plant assignment > specifies which plant(s) the equipment is used in erp code (optional) > links the equipment to an external erp system if an integration exists downtime applicability > defines whether the equipment can register downtimes, based on its configuration and assigned rosters roster > allows you to link an equipment to a shift or roster this can be used when planning orders on that type of equipment creating new equipment to create a new piece of equipment, the following steps are required enter a unique id select the equipment class select the equipment type (optional) enter a barcode assign the equipment to relevant plants (optional) link an erp code configure downtime applicability by linking the appropriate rosters or topics equipment can also be linked within a production structure, allowing it to be visualized and managed directly in the structure view equipment classes the equipment classes tab is used to define reusable groupings for equipment these classes help standardize configuration and behavior across similar machines or assets equipment class attributes each equipment class contains the following information id > a unique identifier for the equipment class description > a clear description of the equipment class confirmations enables > downtime configuration >indicates whether machines in this class can have downtimes last updated >timestamp showing when the equipment class was last modified translations (optional) > allows descriptions to be maintained in multiple languages english is mandatory, all other languages can be added at will
